If you suspect your organization is the victim of fraud or attempted fraud:
Call Bank of the West Immediately
- We'll help you assess the situation and take appropriate action, which may include placing holds and flags on your accounts to help detect future fraud attempts.
- Close account(s) where the fraud occurred and disable all online access.
- Review all recent transactions and electronic authorizations on the account. If suspicious active transactions are identified, cancel them immediately.
- Identify gaps in your internal controls and address them immediately.
File a police report and provide the facts and circumstances surrounding the loss. For substantial losses, contact your local FBI field office.
