We’re here to help

As portions of the country start to re-open, we continue to help individuals and businesses with their money matters. To promote physical distancing, we encourage people to bank online and through our mobile app, including sending and receiving money electronically. For those receiving federal COVID-19 relief checks, we recommend using the Bank of the West mobile app to make a remote deposit. Below you’ll find helpful resources and guidance, including a mobile banking tutorial, information on our loan deferrals, and advice on investing in volatile times.

Economic Impact Payments

On April 2, 2020, the Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service announced the distribution of economic relief payments to help Americans combat the financial effects of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Economic Impact Payment tips from the IRS:

  1. Check to see if you're eligible for the Economic Impact Payment.
  2. If you are eligible and have filed a tax return for 2019 or 2018 or receive Social Security from the government, the IRS will automatically send the economic impact payment to you. The payment will be deposited directly into the same account you used for your tax return.
  3. No direct deposit set up? Take steps to avoid getting a paper check so you can get your money faster without having to leave your home. On April 15, the IRS will have a portal where consumers can check the status of their refund and provide their direct deposit information. Check here for timing.
  4. If you get a paper check, deposit it quickly and efficiently using our mobile deposit through our mobile app. Learn how.
