1Important information about the Cash Back Rewards program for Cash Back Card accounts: Cash Back Rewards have no cash or any other value until they are paid out as a statement credit to your account. Cash Back Rewards are awarded only on net purchases (purchases minus any returns or adjustments). Balance transfers, cash advances, convenience checks, interest charges and any kind of fees charged to the account do not count as purchases. If your Account is closed for any reason, you will no longer be able to accumulate Cash Back and all Cash Back Rewards accrued with that Account will be eliminated. Accounts must be in good standing to be able to redeem your Cash Back. Cash Back Rewards that have been accrued will be reflected on the cardholder’s monthly credit card statement and cannot be transferred, assigned, bought or sold by the card holder. The Bank of the West Cash Back Rewards Program is subject to the current Program Rules that will be sent to you after your account is opened or can be viewed online at www.bankofthewest.com/cash-back-credit-card.
2Cash Back rewards are based on Net Purchases (qualifying purchases less credit, returns, and adjustments). 1% base Cash Back for every $1 of net purchases. Eligible merchants for the 3% categories (2% Cash Back on top of the 1% Base Cash Back) include: (a) Groceries (representing grocery stores/supermarkets, freezer/meat provisioner, miscellaneous food stores, bakeries, and candy/nut/confection stores); (b) Gas (representing service stations and automated fuel dispensers). After $1,500 is spent on gas purchases each calendar quarter, you go back to earning 1% Base Cash Back on gas purchases; (c) Dining (representing eating place restaurants, bars, lounges and fast food restaurants).
