1Offer Period – Online Zelle® offer is only available to customers who have opened a consumer checking account before January 1, 2019 and used Zelle within Bank of the West Online or Mobile Banking. To qualify for this one-time $5 Zelle bonus, you must enroll in Bank of the West Online Banking and use Zelle to complete a minimum of two (2) New Qualifying Transactions from the consumer checking account between April 15, 2019 and July 14, 2019.
Qualifying Zelle Transactions – Each Zelle transaction must be:
- At least $10
- At least one payment sent to each of two new, unique payees (each with a different mailing address, U.S. mobile phone number, or email address from the customer enrolled with Zelle and created after April 14, 2019) for a minimum total of two (2) Zelle transactions. (Multiple Zelle transactions to the same payee only count as one Qualifying Zelle Transaction.)
- Scheduled so that each payment or transaction is debited from customer's Bank of the West consumer checking account no later than July 14, 2019.
This bonus offer (maximum of one (1) per customer enrolled in Zelle, regardless of the number of accounts opened during the offer period) is a $5 non-transferable credit to the checking account. The $5 will be credited within eight to ten weeks after the final qualifying transaction. If an eligible customer qualifies in multiple checking accounts, the account with the most recent Zelle activities will be credited the $5.
To be eligible for the bonus, the checking account from which the Bank of the West Zelle transactions were made must remain open at the time the bonus is credited to the account. Any Bank of the West customer enrolled with Zelle who meets the qualification requirements, but whose checking account to be credited is no longer in open status when the credit is paid, will not receive the bonus.
Any applicable taxes associated with this offer are the responsibility of the account holder. To the extent required by law, Bank of the West will report total value of the offers to the IRS on Form 1099.
