Bank of the West Launches New Brand Advertising

'Go West' Showcases the Western Spirit and State of Mind

Go WestBank of the West's new brand advertising campaign highlights the spirit of possibility that exemplifies life in the West.

The first ad of the campaign began airing on ESPN2 and the Tennis Channel during broadcasts of Bank of the West Classic tennis tournament with additional spots in key bank markets as the campaign continues.

"Our new brand positioning celebrates the unique Western state of mind that our customers have.  We make a promise to keep them at the center of everything we do," said Bank of the West Chief Marketing Officer Andrew Rosen.  "Go West is the tag line that captures the essence of how we keep our commitment to customers every day.  We're not talking about a geography or a specific place when we say Go West.  It's an attitude.  It's a state of mind."

The television spot is the first in a series of broadcast, print and online advertising that will appear through the summer and fall. This first ad introduces the brand concept ahead of the authentic stories of exceptional customers that will be highlighted in future commercials. The brand look and feel will also be carried through to ads to promote specific product offers.

Showcasing Exceptional Customer Stories
A next phase of the campaign will use individual customer stories to further show how life is different in the West.  "We want to highlight how really amazing and exceptional our customers are," added Rosen.  "That's the spirit behind Go West."
