Bank of the West Ad Campaign, “Good Things Happen When Your Local Bank Goes Big,” Highlights the Bank’s Local Focus with the Global Reach of BNP Paribas

Today Bank of the West launches a broadcast and streaming advertising campaign, “Good Things Happen When Your Local Bank Goes Big” highlighting the Bank’s new brand. The campaign showcases the good things Bank of the West brings to the local community with the backing of the global strength, stability and resources of parent company BNP Paribas, a leading European bank. The campaign debuts today and runs through the end of the year in primary cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Omaha and Sacramento. The campaign is a continuation of a year-long rollout of the new brand identity unveiled in March at the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournamentn Indian Wells, California.

In a consumer ad “If I Were a Giant,” Bank of the West asks kids what they would do if they were giants. The ad features young children showing pictures they drew in response to the question, showing how they would use their size and strength to help others in their community. One by one, the children explain how if they were giants they could fix a leaky roof, blow away a tornado, help people get apples from a tall tree, or protect the world from asteroids. The spot ends with a child explaining that “when you’re a giant you can help people do anything.” Watch the ad here.

An additional advertisement titled “Vineyard Technology” features a commercial banker helping a commercial vineyard owner use a new sensor platform to evaluate the stress levels of the grapes. The owner’s staff asks, “Is that our field tech?” demonstrating the deep sector expertise and global reach that Bank of the West offers its clients. Watch the ad here.
