Today Bank of the West launches a broadcast and streaming advertising campaign, “Good Things Happen When Your Local Bank Goes Big” highlighting the Bank’s new brand. The campaign showcases the good things Bank of the West brings to the local community with the backing of the global strength, stability and resources of parent company BNP Paribas, a leading European bank. The campaign debuts today and runs through the end of the year in primary cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Omaha and Sacramento. The campaign is a continuation of a year-long rollout of the new brand identity unveiled in March at the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournamentn Indian Wells, California.
In a consumer ad “If I Were a Giant,” Bank of the West asks kids what they would do if they were giants. The ad features young children showing pictures they drew in response to the question, showing how they would use their size and strength to help others in their community. One by one, the children explain how if they were giants they could fix a leaky roof, blow away a tornado, help people get apples from a tall tree, or protect the world from asteroids. The spot ends with a child explaining that “when you’re a giant you can help people do anything.” Watch the ad here.
“At Bank of the West, we combine our local expertise with the strength and global capabilities of BNP Paribas to help people and businesses reach their financial goals,” said Nandita Bakhshi, President and CEO of Bank of the West and Co-CEO of BNP Paribas USA. “Our relationship with BNP Paribas is a unique differentiator. We are local bankers doing big things for our customers and communities in a changing world.”
An additional advertisement titled “Vineyard Technology” features a commercial banker helping a commercial vineyard owner use a new sensor platform to evaluate the stress levels of the grapes. The owner’s staff asks, “Is that our field tech?” demonstrating the deep sector expertise and global reach that Bank of the West offers its clients. Watch the ad here.
“Deeply understanding each client’s business and strategy is integral to our approach. We play the role of true partners as our clients scale domestically and around the world,” said Jean-Marc Torre, Head of Bank of the West’s Commercial Banking Group.
Both ads are a continuation of a year-long rollout of the new brand identity unveiled in March at the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament in Indian Wells, California. “This campaign continues to differentiate Bank of the West as a bank with a heart, putting the customer at the core of everything we do and demonstrating our deep commitment to their needs,” said Ann von Germeten, Chief Marketing Officer, Bank of the West.
