Bank of the West Strengthens its Utah Team with Key Hires

Bank of the West announced today the appointment of several key executives who have joined the organization in its Salt Lake City market.
Capitalizing on his more than 18 years of experience, in his new role Kain will be responsible for covering middle market private equity groups across the country, developing new business opportunities in financing private equity portfolio companies, structuring and underwriting transactions, and growing the bank's overall private equity practice.
Leslie Ashton — Market Leader, Private Client Services
Leslie Ashton has joined Bank of the West's Wealth Management Group as market leader, managing Private Client Services in Utah and Western Wyoming. In this role she will oversee a team who work with affluent and high net worth clients on all of their financial needs, including retirement, strategic use of credit, business transitions, investment management, financing education for future generations and legacies, estates and trusts.
Ashton has more than 20 years of experience as a wealth management executive. Most recently she held the position of business & strategy manager for Bank of America Merrill Lynch based in San Francisco covering the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain regions. She also spent time in New York City and Washington, D.C. where she worked at Morgan Stanley Institutional Services and Citigroup respectively. In addition to those roles, she also held the position of senior financial advisor for Zions Bank Private Banking in Salt Lake City.
A native of Utah, Ashton has returned to reside in Salt Lake City and currently holds FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses.
Jason Boudreaux — Business Banking Officer
Jason Boudreaux joined as a business banking officer (BBO) for the Rocky Mountain Region in the Salt Lake area. In his new role, Boudreaux will be working with small business owners to help meet their borrowing needs.
Boudreaux has more than 10 years of experience in commercial lending and specializes in commercial real estate and equipment financing. Most recently he was a BBO for US Bank serving small business owners and commercial real estate investors.
He holds a B.S. degree in Journalism from Utah State University. He currently resides in Sandy, Utah.
