Senior Executive Vice President, Head of Corporate and Commercial Banking
Jean-Marc Torre is Head of Corporate and Commercial Banking (CCB) at Bank of the West, a subsidiary of BNP Paribas (BNPP), responsible for the lines of business serving the Bank's corporate clients and wholesale banking. Three main business lines fall under the CCB umbrella, including Commercial Banking Group, Treasury Solutions Division, and Equipment Finance Division.
CCB delivers a broad range of innovative banking solutions to help drive the growth of companies across the U.S. with annual revenues up to $10 Billion. By coordinating closely with BNPP, CCB provides the nimble, personalized attention of a local bank while offering the international capabilities and solutions of one of the world's largest financial groups. CCB continues to deepen its expertise in growing business sectors — from mid-cap technology and real estate to equipment financing and agribusiness — to better anticipate and tackle the distinct challenges its clients face.
Jean-Marc joined Bank of the West as Head of the Commercial Banking Group in March, 2011, and due to an expansion of responsibilities was named Head of Corporate and Commercial Banking in January, 2019. He is a member of the Bank's Executive Management Committee.
Previously, Jean-Marc served as Chief Executive Officer of Arval UK, the London-based fleet and operational leasing subsidiary of BNPP, for five years. Prior to that he was head of the BNPP Group in Egypt (2003-2006), deputy head of the Hong Kong-based BNPP presence in East and North Asia (2001-2003), and head of the BNPP operations in Brazil (1996-2001).
Torre is an engineering graduate of the École supérieure d'électricité in Paris and speaks four languages. He also studied advanced mathematics at Lycée Louis-le-Grand in Paris.
